She was captain of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics teams. She was awarded a gold medal in team competition at the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas was her teammate and received gold. Raisman also took home silver in the all-around individual competition and floor exercise. Raisman has silver medals from the individual all-around, as well as the floor exercise. She is also two-time champion of the national team on floor exercise (2012, 2015) as well as the 2012 champion of the national team on balance beam, and a five-time medalist in the all-around section at the national championships (silver in 2016, and bronze in 2011, 2012 and also in 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
