
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco is an American professional soccer player who plays as captain and striker with the San Diego Wave FC of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL), the highest division of women's professional soccer in the United States, and the United States women's national soccer team.She co-captained the United States women's national soccer team along with Carli Lloyd and Megan Rapinoe between 2018 to 2020. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was drafted by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had graduated from Berkeley earlier. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her debut as a professional at the club and helped the team win the league championship. Morgan aged 22 at the time, was the youngest player in the national team at the 2011 FIFA Women's World Cup, where the team was runner-up. She scored the match-winning goal in the semi-final match against Canada in the semi-final match during the 2012 London Olympics. She was second in the U.S. to score 21 assists and 20 goals in 2012, which makes her the most youthful and sixth-highest prolific player in the country to score 20 goals in one year. She was named U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year and was named a FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan played a role in helping to help the United States win the title at the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cups. She was named to the Dream Team in both tournaments.
